Through narrative MASTER is conceived as a journey, a departure from the every day to reach the exceptional.
In a sequence of spaces, we create tension and build suspense.

Each space is designed to add the narrative to form that experience.

如果夜店是关于逃避现实，那么我们创造了通向另一个维度的发射器。
MASTER可以被看作是一段旅程，脱离循规蹈矩的生活达到极致的体验。

The main entry lobby is conceived as a departure lounge.
A clinically white space with glowing cantilevered boxes, the stark white space acting as a ‘cleansing of the senses’.
The boxes serve functionally as a high-tech cloakroom; deposit boxes for visitors' unwanted coats and belongings as they enter for an evening.
启程离开熟悉的世界，
入口大厅感觉像是一个候机厅。
在白得像门诊室一样的空间里设有发光的悬空式的盒子，纯白的空间带来了感官上的洗礼。
盒子在功能上是一种高科技的衣帽间；参观者在晚上入场时可以把不用的衣物存放在这里。

The same can be said of sound - in this space, we remove sound and contain the visual field.
Following the entry lobby, visitors enter a long dark corridor where senses have been deadened - sight and sound is damped - sensory deprivation. The 30m corridor is lined with deeply recessed sound absorption material, whilst underfoot thick rubber absorbs one’s footprints. A subtle narrowing of the corridor and ramping of the floor add the disquiet feeling, stretching the perspective, and unnerving the mind.
The dark air is heavy with haze - smoke permeates the space suddenly punctuated by exacting laser light that is at once revealed by the smoke with the random whorls of smoke brought into beautiful focus.
Space is punctuated by flickers of light as lidar scanners track visitors’ footprints and translate into pixels of white light that track footsteps along the corridor floor.

30m sound deadened corridor
A curious object terminates the visitors' view at the end of the corridor.
Like an object from another time, its presence signifies arrival in somewhere otherworldly.
The object is set upon a reflecting pool, an altar-like cantilever that gives lightness to the sculptural object balancing it above.
An ante room; colossal, timeless, and feeling as though from a distant future. One has the feeling of being entombed in a subterranean complex from a future civilization.
Heavy yet warm materiality permeates, walls, floors, and ceiling of earthy-toned cast concrete.
The heavy timeless materiality is punctuated with flashes of technology, sheet metal, dials switches, and buttons that allude to a curiously analog futuristic vision, there are no touch screens - all analog.
The moments of technology focus on the large ringed sculpture that seemingly floats upon the water’s surface.
参观者的目光在走廊的尽头被一个奇异的物体吸引住。
它就像另一个时代的产物，它的出现预示着到达了另一个世界。
该物体被放置在一个反射池上，像祭坛一样的装置悬空而出，使它既能保持轻盈，又能维持平衡。

Seeing sound

Once past the soundproof corridor, the ante room presents two curious sculptures; the first 5 concentric rings whose opposing axis rotate, a hypnotizing gyroscope. The second object is a pool of black liquid in which the vibrations of sound are made visible.

一旦经过隔音走廊，前厅就会呈现出两个奇特的装置，第一个是5个绕其相对轴旋转的同心环，一个催眠陀螺仪。第二个是一池黑色液体，利用液体将声音的振动可视化。
The bathroom holds unlikely duel use as dance floor and washroom. A central DJ forms the space's central focus. The oval-shaped room is surrounded and penned in by 20 or so cylinders, each one an individual WC cubicle.
盥洗室一般不会用作舞池和洗手间。中央的DJ台成为了这个空间的焦点。椭圆形的房间环绕着20个左右的圆柱体，每个圆柱体都是一个单独的厕所隔间。
Privacy of the WC cubicle occupants is secured by the clever use of a motorized semi-circular WC door, acting as an airlock to prevent views into the WC cubicle itself.
通过巧妙地使用电动半圆形厕所门来确保厕所隔间内使用者的私密性，就像气闸一样防止外人看见厕所内部的情况。
At the rear of the wall and shrouded from view is the male washroom, circular, dark, and in opposition to the light white space of the main washroom space.

In a playful side-step, we have created another worldly space behind one of the white cylindrical cubicle doors. Here wood-paneled walls, timber floor, and walls pose a stark contrast to the futuristic scene of the main bathroom, it’s a jump cut to another place.
我们准备了一个有趣的小插曲，在一个白色的圆柱形小隔间门后面创造了另一个世俗的空间。此处的木镶板墙，木地板和墙壁与主盥洗室的未来场景形成了鲜明的对比，形成了一种地点的切换。
Influenced by scenes from Stanley Kubrick's 2001 Space Odyssey, this space is filled with unusual references. Firstly the scene is set upside down, with furniture on the roof as a gaggle of flamingos cluster in one corner, reverence of the absurd, whilst familiar Greek classical and romantic era reproduction paintings adorn the walls in gold gilt frames.

Conceived as a lady’s powder room the main vista has functional mirrors, yet a sideways glance at the paintings nod to something darker for those in the know. 1. Painting of Narcissus, the man who fell in love with his own reflection. 2. Friedrich Cloud Sea - a painting about the sublime - a special place reached the far extents of human experience... the canny observer will notice that the future depicted is carrying aloft a mobile phone, perhaps a commentary on today’s society, that feelings and experiences must be captured if they have been deemed to have occurred at all.

The main room comprises of a diamond plan form, perfectly formed found space that allows for a large staging area, concentric seating arrangement, and lateral generous VIP seating area, a stepped floor allow for perfect views to the main stage and artists for all visitors.

Uniquely the business operation hours of MASTER are set to near 18hrs daily operation: By day, a light show by teamLab - Shower3, and by evening space transforms to a nightclub with artists performances from world-class DJ’s to instrumental bands and MC’s.

As such the space and furnishings are designed to accommodate this flexibility, its plan form designed to be versatile for this switch as well as numerous events. So far already staging for Vogue, UGG, Fendi, and others. The seating forte nightclub function is also unusual for the industry, designed to withstand the heavy use of even people dancing on the seats and tables we still managed to incorporate style changes to give an air of luxury, patterned leather, stitching details, and seatback verity to give visual variety to the array of seating.

We took the unusual step to locate the bar in front of the stage, to allow a wraparound 35m bar counter to form the stage area as a singular monolithic sculptural piece.

Look closer and notice the bar / stage serving multiple functions: 1. Fold up seating slots into the bar itself allowing for casual bar visitors to sit and rest. 2. Slotted steel drink storage boxes add a high tech edge and allow for patrons to store valuable liquor in QR coded local boxes, kinetic sculptures in themselves are with motorized actuators that allow for a performative role to the otherwise functional requirements.
The bar area also absorbs the utility requirements of the bass speaker stacks: An important component of the world class Funktion One sound system.
仔细观察并注意酒吧/舞台具有多种功能：1.在吧台设置了折叠座椅，方便零散的顾客就座休息。2.开槽的钢制酒水存放箱运用了高科技的优势，使顾客可以将有价值的酒存储在二维码的箱子中，动感装置本身带有马达，可以为其他功能要求起到有效的作用。
吧台区域还能很好地满足世界一流的“ Funktion One”低音音响系统对于场地的要求。
Moving up onto the stage - we have designed a flexible staging area with no less than 5 wide DJ tables that move up and down into the stage, concealed and revealed when required. This facilitates the full integrated artist / performer requirements, from classical musicians, to rock bands and instrumental DJ and multi artists, DJ battles, and MC performances. MASTER is a full artist entertainment place; we also have designed the stage to support that MASTER ambition to be the best nightclub in the world.

The supporting light and visual design have been envisioned by both RoundTable and teamLab and features:
· Full 35m wide x 6m high rotating LED screens for full visual effect shows.
· 3000 moving headlights.
· 80 lasers.
· 10 smoke machines.
· CO2 cannons.
· 30-piece Funktion One sound system.

Towards the rear of the space, we have created 3 unique VIP areas that are conceived as a home away from home, a full complement of designer furnishings and unique pieces that set a new benchmark in club design luxury. 3 Bespoke artworks adorn the walls in each space, each a representation of sound waves apparently frozen in lacquered wood.
The central VIP seating zone features an 8m wide retractable DJ table, for guest DJ's to play within the VIP area itself. Bringing performance right to the centre of the guest experience.

Private VIP bathrooms for each VIP area are designed to offer respite from the club environment, soft calming pastel-toned terrazzo with a curved junction between wall and floor.
